Heritage Volunteers' Visits
Each year Heritage Volunteers have met together to have an
informative day out. We have visited the
Records Office at Hawarden, the
Gladstone
Library and
St. Deniol's Church.
Last year we visited
Dorfold Hall in Cheshire and this year- by request of our
Volunteers - a special guided tour of
Erddig was arranged and we were taken around by our
Heritage Volunteer Representative who does this sort of thing!
The tour was on the Mellor Inheritance and told the inside
story of the many beautiful pieces of furniture and mirrors, glass and
chinaware that John Mellor bought for the house in the early 1700's.
