Love, Art and Tragedy: Close Encounters in a Cornish Art Colony
Lecturer: Catherine Wallace
The Newlyn School of artists were inspired by their landscape - the remote valley of Lamorna - which attracted people like Harold and Laura Knight, Alfred Munnings and Florence Carter-Wood. This lecture looks not just at their work, but at the fascinating personal story that bound these people together, with all its triumphs and tragedies - a story that became the subject of the novel and film Summer in February.
